Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) before using Celuna. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. Celuna is provided by Jakub Pilasiewicz (“we,” “us”). If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Celuna is made for adults (18 or older) caring for another adult. By using it you confirm you are at least 18.
Celuna helps families organise and share the care of someone with dementia or cognitive decline: medications, appointments, notes, observations, memories, documents, and a shared circle.
Celuna is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, monitor, or provide medical advice, and nothing in it — including the doctor summary and any pattern it highlights — is a clinical judgement. Everything Celuna shows is information you or your circle entered yourselves. Always rely on a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you saw in the app. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Using the app alone needs no account. Sharing a circle requires signing in with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping access to your Apple ID secure, and for activity that happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time from within the app.
You keep ownership of everything you put into Celuna (“your content”). By adding content to a shared circle, you grant us only the limited permission needed to store it and sync it to the other members of that circle, and you grant those members the ability to see it.
You are responsible for your content, and for having a proper basis to record and share information about the person you care for — for example, being their carer, next of kin, or holding the appropriate authority. Only invite people you trust, and only share what you have the right to share. Do not upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have permission to share.
Each circle has an admin who can invite people, set their role (co-caregiver or read-only observer), and remove them. Information shared into a circle may remain on other members’ devices even after you delete it from yours.
Celuna is free to use. Caregiver+ is an optional subscription that unlocks the shared circle, the activities and games, and unlimited doctor summaries. One subscription covers everyone in your circle.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before it ends. A free trial, where offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. You manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
All billing, renewals and refunds are handled by Apple under the terms of the Apple Media Services agreement. We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly; refund requests are made to Apple.
Please use Celuna only for its purpose. Do not misuse the service, attempt to break, probe or overload it, access data that is not yours, reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows, or use it to store or share content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes someone else’s rights.
Our Privacy Policy explains what Celuna stores and shares, and it forms part of these Terms. In short: the app is local-first, sharing is optional, and your journal and your own wellbeing are never shared.
Celuna, its design, and its content (other than your content) belong to us. We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in line with these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service.
We work hard to make Celuna reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will always sync or be preserved. Because the app is local-first, keeping your own backups (from Settings) is your responsibility, and we are not responsible for data lost from a lost, damaged, reset or replaced device.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Celuna. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law. Some places do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Celuna or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app; if it fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability, legal or regulatory claims, and any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual-property rights. You must comply with applicable third-party terms and any U.S. export and sanctions rules when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
We may update the app and these Terms. If we make a material change to the Terms, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Celuna after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
You may stop using Celuna and delete it at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are seriously or repeatedly breached, or where necessary to comply with the law or protect the service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
